Throughout the life cycle of your business, there may be times where you need to reset the username or password for your employees or staff. While all users have the ability to reset their own password using the Forgot Password link on the portal login page, Administrators also have access to reset usernames and passwords on employees' behalf.
Step-By-Step Instructions
To begin, launch the HRIS Administration module from the home page of your HRIS portal.
Under Users And Roles > Manage Users, click on the Gear icon next to the user whose password or username you would like to reset.
Then, select if you would like to Reset Password or Change User Name.
Changing the Username will prompt you to enter a new username for the user and click Change UserName to save.
Selecting to Reset Password will send an email to the user's email address on file with instructions for them to reset their password. Note that the password reset link will expire after one hour.
Unlocking User Accounts
There may be times when a user makes too many login attempts and is locked out of their account. If that happens, Administrators will have the ability to unlock the user's account.
